Start to Establish

Electronic Eegineering Department was established in 1969, when it was established at the very beginning, it was called "Industrial Electronics Division". In 1975, approved by the Ministry of Education, it was renamed "Computer Group of Electronic Engineering Department". In the 1981, the "Electronic Computing Division" was merged and officially became the Electronic Engineering Division. At that time, the director of the division, Mr. Hong, Mao-Sheng, was struggling and the road was ragged. In 1986, Mr. Xu, Jin-Tong served as the director of the department. After years of hard work, Electronic Eegineering Department has made great progress in terms of teachers and equipments.

Growth

In 1988, Mr. Xiao, Ru-Xuan took over as the director of the Electronic Engineering Division, actively adjusted the affairs internally, and at the same time vigorously sought funds from the school to expand equipments and improve the teachers qualified to teach. After more than a year of hard work, Electronic Engineering Division was finally rated as first-class for the first time in the education evaluation in 1990. Not only it has become an important leading division in school, but it has also been affirmed by all teachers and students and has also emerged in the national technical and vocational colleges, ranking among the best in the national private school rankings. At this time, it has four classes for each grade in day school, eight classes for two grades, only one class for each grade in night school, and total three classes for three grades. In 1991, Mr. Xiao, Ru-Xuan was admitted to the engineering doctoral program of the Department of Electrical Engineering of National Taiwan University, and then Mr. Chen, Zhao-Lin took over as the director of the division. In 1992, Electronic Engineering Division was approved by the Ministry of Education to set up a machine system group. The day school was expanded to six classes per grade, total 12 classes in two grades. The night school was expanded to three classes per grade. Electronic Engineering Division has become a major division of the school.

Transformation

In 1993, Mr. Chen, Yi-Hua took over as the director of Electronic Engineering Division. Coinciding with the evaluation, the teachers and students of Electronic Engineering Division worked together, and was rated as the first class by the Ministry of Education for the second time. In 1996, the Electronic Engineering Division was rated as first-class for the third time. In 1997, Mr. Chen, Yi-Hua participated in the training program of the Telecommunications Education Center, and Mr. Wang, Qing-Song took over as the director of the division. At the time, the Electronic Engineering Division began to transform from the instrumental system group to the communication direction. The revision of the curriculum and the recruitment of teachers were mainly based on communication.

Under the leadership of President Meng, Ji-Luo, it was officially transformed into the Department of Electronic Engineering in August 1999, Mr. Xiao, Ru-Xuan was elected as the first director of the Department. In 2001, after Mr. Ye, Wen-Jun took over as the director of the department, he continued to work on the integration of Electronic Engineering Department and Communication Engineering Department. In 2003, the Department of Electronic Engineering and the Department of Communication Engineering jointly established the Graduate School of Information and Communication and recruited students for the first time. Mr. Wang, Qing-Song took over as the dean of the department again until Mr.Li, Jia-Nan took over in 2009, and once again the Department of Electronic Engineering won the first-class award in the evaluation of the Ministry of Education in 2011. Afterwards, Ms. Dong, Hui-Xiang took over as the director of the department and continued to push forward the license and competition on the Single-Chip filed. In 2015, Mr. Li, Jiog-San took over as the director of the department and passed the final eveluation by the Ministry of Education. In 2018, Mr. Jiang, Yan-Ru took over as the director of the department. In August 2021, Oriental Institute of Technology officially changed its name to Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology. Mr. Wu, Huai-Gui is the current director of the Department of Electronic Engineering of Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology.
